Webbing consists of individual fabric strips interlacing together in upholstered furniture to create a more comfortable, giving seat and a longer cushion life.
Many of the pillows and cushions in Havertys' upholstery collections are feather-filled or contain down-blend. Down refers to the undercoating of waterfowl and consists of light fluffy filaments. It is common for feathers to poke out or migrate to one side because of how the feathers lie and move around. It is important to follow proper care techniques. Make sure to rotate the pillow or cushion frequently, fluff often and use a vacuum to remove any excess feathers.
Supple and durable, top-grain leather makes great luxury upholstery. Top-grain leather is of the highest quality, as well as the topmost layer of the hide.
Also known as "distressed," this prized finishing process gives the leather rich highlights and the appearance of aged leather bearing years of memories. The resulting handcrafted patina is produced by a careful application of dyes and sanding.
