Targeting Textures
Knowing that she wanted an effortlessly elegant and chic living room but not knowing how to bring it all together, Brooke contacted her local Havertys for help. Together with one of our Havertys Design Experts, Brooke created a space that was both sophisticated and comfortable by using a mixture of textures, tones and touchable textiles.Shop this look
Sleek & Slate
Working with her consultant, Brooke customized a stylish sofa in our Toscana Slate pet-approved microfiber fabric. The pop of color creates a stunning focal point, while the plush seat cushions entice one to sit down and unwind. The custom linen pillows in our Ander Sapphire geometric patterned fabric beautifully balance the sofa with the rest of the living room. Now Brooke and her dog, Panda, have the perfect place to relax.
Setting The Tone with Textures
Knowing how eye intrigue can be created by mixing various textures and tones, Brooke combined rich leather, faux fur and boucle fabric to create a beautiful blend between luxury and comfort. Shades of cream, brown and blue in various textures and patterns are strategically used to create added depth and dimension. The cream faux fur of the throw ties together with the marble-topped end table and similarly toned ottoman.
Marble & Wood
Brooke wanted a coffee table that had a sophisticated style while also providing shelving to display her décor. The perfect choice was our Emory coffee table. The marble top of the piece stylishly contrasts with the acacia wood in a weathered sand finish.
Light & Linen
With its grey glass base in a rustic finish, our Vestry table lamp chicly contrasts against the cream marble tops of the end and coffee tables used in the space. The white linen shade helps create a cohesive design as the color is used throughout the room in different textures.
Simple & Serene
Using Brooke’s serene and sophisticated personality as inspiration, her consultant chose a piece of wall décor that depicts that first light of dawn as it stretches over low-lying waterways. Mirroring the tone of the room, this wall décor brings a sense of calm and clarity.
I love that my Design Expert gave me room to breathe. She took my style and made it work with custom pillows, custom fabric and unique pieces to create a look that has a life of its own.
